Community
Seamab puts a lot of emphasis on being part of its local community. In the evenings all children attend at least one organised activity. These range from Beavers, BBs, gymnastics, skiing, swimming, football and riding.
All of the children can attend organised activities each week. Time and again we have found that the child's first positive experience of being part of a community is when they come to Seamab.
Play
Many children come to Seamab not knowing how to play, or how to play together.
Play is an essential element in a child's development. We put a lot of emphasis on the importance of play since children learn their social skills mainly through playing co-operatively with others. Staff spend a lot of time playing with the children and encouraging them to participate in group activities.
The school provides wonderful play areas for the children. It is built around a courtyard in which the children can play in safety. There is also a multi-sports area and a large garden where the children are encouraged to play.
