Teacher and pupils at Seamab

Funding

As a charitable company, Seamab Learning and Care Services is a non-profit making organisation.

The day-to-day operation of Seamab School is largely funded by the fees paid by local authorities for individual children.

Any major capital projects, such as the school's recent acquisition of a new building or the substantial re-furbishment of the bungalows where the children live, have to be paid for by fund-raising from charitable sources. The school has received grants for specific projects from Children in Need, the Wooden Spoon and Lloyds TSB among others.
