Small change for a sea change

Most of us were lucky enough as children to be given pocket money. What was pocket money for you as a child is small change now. It can help us give our children experiences and support that will create a sea change in their childhood.

My pocket money story

Pocket money wasn't given it was earned through small jobs around the house or in the garden. Usually weeding the garden as that's something my mum hated doing as it also meant keeping an eye on our dog Sooty who was always planning adventures.
My pocket money often went towards my sticker collections. I was very keen on the show Rugrats and was over the moon when they released a sticker album. With great determination I filled that book, swapping stickers where I could to complete my collection. Sure not to fail my task I wrote to the company, enclosed by fee and requested they sent me the missing trio I needed.
Pocket money wasn't the gateway to buying these big items, it was the journey of savings and working to achieve that ever so small goal that brought big smiles.
