Small change for a sea change

Most of us were lucky enough as children to be given pocket money. What was pocket money for you as a child is small change now. It can help us give our children experiences and support that will create a sea change in their childhood.

My pocket money story

Pocket Money Story
I can remember way back to my teenage years and how I used the pocket money I earned as a kennel maid.
I worked weekends at the local kennels and earned pocket money. My earnings were used to buy Wildlife magazines, as being a keen animal lover. I loved purchasing these magazines and binders to house them, enjoying my daydreams that one day I would see them in in their natural habitat.
Also as a member of the SPCA, I organised jumble sales and gymnastic shows in my garden and donated the money to the cause. Any spare change leftover was used to purchase milk for the stray cats my friend and I rescued – keeping them in a disused garage, well so we thought!
Maybe this was the start of my destiny and why I should continue to follow my heart…
