Our commitment to The Promise
We are committed to delivering The Promise — Scotland’s commitment to care-experienced children and young people.
Our newest service near Linlithgow enables young people to stay with us until age 18, and beyond where appropriate. By limiting transitions, we provide stability, felt safety and space for young people to consider positive pathways into further education, training or employment.
"Scotland must limit the number of transitions for children."

Lucy’s story
Lucy joined Seamab at the age of 15 after experiencing several changes in her care and education. Since arriving, she has re-engaged with learning, built positive relationships, and discovered new interests and confidence.
She is currently working towards national qualifications, enjoys debating with her classmates, and takes part in a wide range of activities including mountain biking, swimming, and football. Lucy is also a member of a national youth panel, helping to shape funding decisions that benefit other young people.
“If I could describe how Seamab makes me feel, I would say it really has made me feel free. I feel loved and looked after, and that makes me calm and happy.”
