Robbie Henderson

Head of care

Robbie has worked in residential childcare since 2009, spending 13 years working and managing within secure care, residential and community care settings with young people ranging from 5 to 26 years old.

Prior to joining Seamab in August 2022, Robbie has worked in both the private and public sectors so brings a great range of experience to his role at Seamab. Robbie has worked in foster care where he contributed as a foster panel member, then vice chair before becoming chair of an Independent foster panel.

Robbie is hugely enthusiastic and passionate about residential care. He is experienced in leading teams so that they consider, practice and reflect in a trauma informed manner. Robbie appreciates how important it is for staff teams to be fully supported to enable them to work a meaningful and positive way all within a supportive environment.

Robbie has a strong belief that authentic collaborative and partnership working is key to ensuring that the children and young people we care for feel safe, enjoy positive experiences and that they achieve the very best outcomes as a result of our pedagogical practice.
